Every year The State Bank runs a 6-week campaign where we ask our customers to "donate their change to make a change" for our local kids. In mid-September, the money that is collected is deposited into an 6 different accounts at The State Bank. Each account is established in the name of a local school. The funds are then disbursed as needed within these 6 local schools. In the past year we have supported students from Lake Fenton, Fenton, Holly, Grand Blanc, Linden, Brighton.
The goal of Change for Kids is to meet the physical and educational needs of local children, ranging from toothpaste, deodorant to pencils, paper, backpacks and other educational necessities. These materials provide the foundation so that students can concentrate on their educational goals. Last year's proceeds helped provide a bed for a student who didn't have one, eye glasses, and food on the weekends for students in need.
Here are some fun photos from our fundraising efforts!
