Are there fees to use The State Bank Mobile Deposit® App?
There is no charge from The State Bank to download application. However, you should contact your wireless service provider to see if any connectivity or usage rates may apply. Fees as provided in our Fee Schedule still apply for mobile deposits in excess of 5 per month.

Do I have to be enrolled in The State Bank Online Banking® to use The State Bank Mobile Deposit ®App?
No, you do not have to be enrolled in The State Bank Online Banking to use The State Bank Mobile Deposit App.

Can I use the same User ID and Password for my The State Bank Mobile Deposit ® as I do my The State Bank Online Banking ®?
Yes, you may use the same User ID & Password.

How do I start using my The State Bank Mobile Deposit ® App?
To get started, simple go to your mobile application store and download The State Bank Mobile Deposit® Application. Open the application, click the Sign Up button. Enter all User Information. Note that you can add multiple accounts by clicking the “Add Account” option. Submit. You will receive an email within one business day confirming your enrollment.

After how many incorrect logon attempts will The State Bank Mobile Deposit® App be locked?
After your fifth invalid logon attempt, your access to The State Bank Mobile Deposit® App will be locked. To reset your password please contact us at 810-629-2263.

Can my The State Bank Mobile Deposit® App session time out?
Yes. After 5 minutes of inactivity your session will time out.

Which Accounts are available through my The State Bank Mobile Deposit® App?
You will have access to all The State Bank accounts you currently have enrolled and that you are an authorized signer.

How does The State Bank Mobile Deposit® work?
To use The State Bank Mobile Deposit®, take a picture of the front and back of your endorsed check. You can use The State Bank Mobile Deposit® App to transmit an electronic image of a check to The State Bank which will be deposited to your chosen account. We will store the check image for secure, accurate and efficient record keeping.

You may submit your deposits at any time and may include one check in a single deposit. You can submit up to 25 items each day, with a maximum of $5,000.00 per item, a daily limit of $10,000.00 and a monthly limit of $20,000.00.

When will my deposit be processed?
Deposits submitted before 7 PM EST on a business day will be processed that day. Deposits submitted after 7 PM EST or on a non-business day will be processed on the next business day.

Do I need to use paper deposit slips when using The State Bank Mobile Deposit®?
No. Paper deposit slips are not needed.

What kind of checks can I deposit using The State Bank Mobile Deposit® App?
The State Bank Mobile Deposit® App can process checks payable in U.S. dollars and drawn on any U.S. bank, including but not limited to:

  • Personal Checks
  • Business Checks
  • U.S. Treasury Checks
  • Money Orders

Can foreign currency checks be processed through The State Bank Mobile® App?
No. Only checks payable in U.S. dollars and are drawn on banks in the United States.

How long should I keep the original checks?
Once you’ve scanned and submitted your deposit, you should mark the checks as having been deposited and store them in a secure location until you destroy them. You are then required to retain the original paper item for a minimum of five calendar days, but no longer than fourteen calendar days.

When will my funds be available?
Funds are available on the next business day after the day of your deposit, unless a hold is applied. If a deposit is held (or a hold is applied), funds are posted to your account but are not immediately available to cover debits or withdrawals. Common reasons include:

  • Large deposit amount
  • Frequent overdrafts
  • Deposited check returned unpaid
  • Indications a deposited check may not be paid

If a hold will be applied to any portion of your deposit, we will contact you with the hold information and when you can expect to have the funds available to you, per the bank’s Funds Availability Policy.
