What is Mobile Banking?

With The State Bank mobile banking, you have access to your accounts right from your cell phone or mobile device. You can perform everyday banking functions like accessing account balances, viewing account history, transferring money between accounts, and paying bills, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

What are the services offered as part of Mobile Banking?

  • Mobile Banking via Text Message – Mobile Text gives you the ability to access your eligible accounts from a mobile phone or device via text messaging.
  • Mobile Banking via Mobile Web – Mobile Web gives you access to our online banking website. Using your mobile web browser, simply go to The State Banks website and take advantage of the many features you have available through Online Banking today, including: viewing account balances, transferring funds, and paying bills.
  • Mobile Banking using a Mobile App – The State Banks Mobile App is designed for your iPhone® or Android®. The Mobile App will give you fast access to a full range of banking services using your iPhone®/Android® built-in functions, including: viewing account balances, paying bills, and transferring funds.

What types of accounts can I view and/or use with Mobile Banking?

You can access the same accounts you currently access with Online Banking, including checking, savings, and loan accounts

Are there any fees to use Mobile Banking?

The State Bank does not charge a fee for using our Mobile Banking service or downloading our Mobile App. However, please check your wireless carrier as message and data rates may apply

What kind of mobile device is required for The State Bank Mobile Banking?

For the Mobile Text service, your mobile device must be capable of sending and receiving text messages. For the Mobile Web service, your mobile device must support web browsing functionality. For The State Bank Mobile App, you need an iPhone® or Android®

Which mobile service providers support Mobile Banking?

Mobile Banking works on any cell phone or mobile device that supports either Mobile Text, Mobile Web browsing, or a Mobile App for the iPhone® or Android®

Do I have to agree to the Terms and Conditions to participate in Mobile Banking?

Yes, you must read and accept The State Banks Mobile Banking Terms and Conditions to use our Mobile Banking services

What happens if my mobile device is lost or stolen?

As you would normally do, contact your mobile device company and they will suspend your service. Next, contact the bank to have them suspend your mobile banking service

Important Note: You should NOT store confidential information on your mobile device at any time. Do not store passwords or PIN numbers on your mobile device. For extra security you can enable the “LOCK” feature on your mobile device

Is Mobile Banking secure?

The State Bank is committed to protecting your safety and privacy. Your Mobile Banking service has a number of built-in security features:

  • Secure Login – Mobile Banking via Mobile Web or your Mobile App requires secure login for access. A user ID and password will help confirm your identity with each mobile banking web browsing session.
  • User ID, Password, and Account Privacy – The State Bank will not store your user ID and password on your phone
  • Data Encryption – All your wireless transactions are protected by SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption technology to help prevent unauthorized access
  • Session Time-Out – The State Bank has built in time-out when there is no activity. This helps prevent others from using an open session to gain access to your accounts

Important Note: The State Bank will never send text messages notifying you that your online account has expired or instructing you to send account information via an online link. Any request for your personal information via email, text message, website, or pop-up window should be considered a fraudulent request. You should not reply to the request and should report it to The State Bank

How do I enroll into Mobile Banking?

Enrolling with Mobile Banking is an easy process. Just log into your online banking account and click on the ‘options’ tab along the top navigational bar. Then scroll down to the section labeled ‘Mobile Banking Profile’ and from there you can enroll your mobile device.
