Sean Trombley - Football
Trombley rushed for 148 yards and 4 TD's on just 12 carries. Defensively he had an interception and 7 tackles.
Sophia Clements (Senior) – Volleyball, Captain
Clements has become a dominant force at the net. She has become the Blue Devils’ starting go-to outside hitter and she also plays backdown for the Blue Devils. Clements led the team with 15 kills this past week against Byron. She also had two blocks, one ace, and 14 digs. Clements also had over 50 kills at the Blue Devils’ tournament this past weekend.
Learning of his dads passing, played his butt off in a tournament, scoring a goal and being an MVP.
Eric – Cross Country
Eric ran a 16:55, placing 4th at the Linden Invitational and leading the Blue Devils to a 1st place finish.
Tommy – Cross Country
Tommy ran a 16:52 to lead the Blue Devils to a 3rd place finish.
This is Cameron’s second year playing goalie. We had two games that we won 5 to 0 against Almont for the senior game. The other game we traveled to Laingsburg for their senior night and we won 7 to 1. Our shots were falling and we had good offense, and great defense. The other teams played us hard and had opportunity where Cameron came up huge.
Riely Novak – Football
Novak lead the way on the offensive line as LF rushed for 241 yards on just 13 carries. That's an average of nearly 14 yards per attempt. He is our best lineman who we count on heavily in our run game.
Sam – Cross Country
Sam ran a 17:37 to help the Blue Devils win the Regional Championship.
Claire Hunt – Cross Country
Clare ran 21:04 at the Tortoise and Hare Post A PR Open.
Taylor Sands (Junior) – Competitive Cheer
The team increased their score by 22 points from the previous week and had a particularly strong showing in round one. Taylor is an incredible asset to the team and her beautiful jumps and tumbling really help to raise the team's score!
Lauren – Competitive Cheer
This past week, as a senior in all three rounds, she helped lead the team to two victories. She is a strong base, and working to become better every day.
Katelyn – Basketball
Katelyn continued her streak of scoring in double digits to begin the season (8 games) with 2 games this week, scoring 18 points on Wednesday against Yale and 19 points on Friday against #9 ranked Corunna. (Genesee County's #1 ranked, and undefeated team). Katelyn is averaging 16.6 points/game, 5.4 rebs/game, 1.9 assists/game and 3.7 steals/game thus far this season. Her game against Corunna was especially impressive, as she squared off with All-League Center from Corunna, who stands 6 inches taller than her. She plays bigger than height, as evidence - she shoots an average of 7 foul shots per game. Corunna stat line: 19 points (2 for 3 on 3 pointers), 3 rebounds, 1 steal and 6 Free Throws attempted.
Sean – Wrestling
Sean went 7-0 on the week with seven pins. He’s ranked #2 in the state and is 29-0 on the season.
Zolen – Wrestling
Zolen went 6-0 on the week beating the #2 rankedD-2 kid from Goodrich Honor Kline 14-4, as well as pinning his other five opponents this week.
Libby – Competitive Cheer
At the beginning of the season, Libby made the transition from base to backspot look easy and she worked hard to perfect her role. This week Libby had many changes to her place in the routine and she executed them beautifully and never complained once. She is hardworking, encouraging, and a steady positive presence on our team!
Logan Julian (Senior) – Wrestling
Ended his high school wrestling career with a 4th place finish at the MHSAA State Finals. It was his first time placing after being a three-time state qualifier. He ended his season with a 54-6 record.
Hunter (Senior) – Basketball
Hunter was second in scoring in a road win on Tuesday at Genesee Christian, and on Friday the two-time Senior Captain double-doubled with 11 points and 12 rebounds in a hard fought home contest against Goodrich!
She has scored four of our last seven goals: two goals in a 3-2 loss to Goodrich and two more goals in a 5-4 win over Clio, converting 2/2 PK's during these games.
Eric – Swimming
Eric placed in all of his events Tuesday night versus Corunna. He placed first in the 3200 meter with a time of 9:54. Saturday he competed at the Brighton Bulldog invitational. He ran against the top two runners from each of the 23 schools at this invitational and earned the 5th place medal in the 3200 meter with a personal record of 9:43. At Corunna, he ran the mile in 4:35.
Claire – Track & Field
At the Frosh/Soph meet, Claire took 6th place in the mile (5:59). She also ran a leg of the 4x800 and 4x400 which took 4th and 5th place, respectively. Finally, she took 7th in the 800m (2:46) run.
Alli – Softball
15/29 Bat. Ave, 19/33 On Base % .576, Several outstanding plays defensively at short stop, lead-off hitter, 14 stolen bases, scored 15 runs this week. Alli is one our team leaders. Our team went 6-1 this week and she was the catalyst. When she gets on base, she is a threat to score almost all the time.
Zachary – Track & Field
Zachary placed 1st in 200 , 4 X 1, and 4 x 4 in our wins vs Bendle (131 to 80 and Goodrich 121 -73). He also placed in three events at the Twilight Classic. He earned a 3rd place medal in the 200 with a season best time of 23.8 while running against 27 other schools. He also placed 3rd in the 4 X 2 and 6th in the 4 X 4.
Michael – Track & Field
At the regional meet, his team placed 3rd in the 4 by 1 with a time of 45.63 and Michael took first in the 300 hurdles with a time of 40.45. He is currently ranked 2nd in Division 2 for the 300 Hurdles and has been going between being ranked 1st or 2nd in the division all year. He has a great chance to be state champ in this event.
Landon – Baseball
Landon hits out of the 2 spot and is very productive. He went 11 for 21 (.523) with a double and a triple on the week. He went 6 for 9 and scored two runs in a split at Davison. Landon leads our team in batting average and is a very good defensive 2nd baseman.
Tommy – Track & Field
Tommy finished a great season competing in the 3200 meters at the State Finals. Several times this year, he came within a second of breaking the school record in the 3200 meter. His best time was 9:39.04. Tommy had the mental toughness to battle through the pain of plantar fasciitis and a poorly timed bout of the flu to place 19th in the state meet with a time of 9:48. He collapsed after the race and had to be carried off the track. It was an amazing season for Tommy.
Sophia – Track & Field
At the league meet, Sophia took first in the long jump with a personal best of 16'1". She also took third in the 100m hurdles-17.89, and she ran the first leg of the second place 4x400 relay.
Cody – Baseball
Cody went 4 for 7 in a doubleheader against Lakeland. He also got the win on the mound versus Swartz Creek, throwing 5.2 innings, giving up just three hits and striking out three in his only start of the season.
Jacob as a freshman goalie really stood on his head. He had 20 shots on him stopping 18. We lost 0 to 2 against flushing but really gave us an opportunity to win. If we could of gotten any offense going
Sydney Johnson is a junior at Lake Fenton High School And is starting for the varsity volleyball. Sydney always goes the extra mile. During her games this past week she had a total of 42 digs, and 7 aces. Sydney is a leader in the back row and commits to getting every ball up. She is determined and proves her skills each game on the court.
James is a 3 year varsity starter and a team captain. James wears a lot of hats in our system. As our fullback, Hamilton rushed 17 times for 75 yards, scoring 1 TD and 1 2-point conversion. He had 14 tackles at linebacker and another 3 (including 1 QB sack) tackles from his defensive end spot. James was instrumental in our win over Corunna.
Joey ran a 16:40 at the Laker Invitational. He finished in 1st place leading the Blue Devils to a 1st Place finish.
