(Junior) Anthony Tamas, from our Varsity Boys’ Soccer team. The Hartland Junior scored both goals to lead Hartland to an important KLAA win over Novi. This is only the second time in school history that the boys have beaten Novi.
(Junior) Maddie Mince, from our Varsity Girls’ Swim team. Maddie achieved her D-1 state cut at the first meet of the season. She went 59.48 in the 100 fly and went 24.99 in her 50 free only missing the state cut by .10 of a second.
(Junior) Megan Acs, from our Varsity Girls’ Volleyball team. Megan is an Outside Hitter who led the team with 36 kills at the Mt. Morris Tournament on Saturday, August 26. 13 of the kills came against Mt. Morris where Megan helped lead Hartland to a win against Mt. Morris in Set One during pool play. She also recorded 38 digs and 2 solo blocks overall. In addition, Megan had 100% serving average for the entire tournament.
(Sophomore) Savannah Grabowski, from our Varsity Girls’ Golf Team. Savannah shot a 44 on Wednesday at our tri-match at Fox Hills Golf Course. On Friday, she recorded an 83 to help us to a 4th place finish out of 24 teams at the Farmington Invitational held at Glen Oaks Country Club.
(Junior) Sydney Bradford, from our Varsity Girls’ Golf team. Monday, Sydney shot a 77 to lead us to a school record 326 and a tournament 1st place finish at the Hartland Invitational at Hartland Glen. Tuesday, she led our team to a KLAA tri-match win over Novi and Plymouth Salem with a score of 39. Thursday, at the Troy Invitational at Twin Lakes she shot an 84. The previous week Sydney shot a school record 75 at the Marian Invitational at Hudson Mills Golf Course.
(Senior) Tommy Lappin, from our Varsity Football team. Senior Tommy Lappin rushed 13 times for 155 yards and caught a 36 yard pass for a touchdown. He also had 6 solo tackles and 6 assist
(Senior) Denton Paul, from our Varsity Boys’ Soccer team. Senior and Co-Captain Denton returned from injury for his first games this season and led the Eagles to two KLAA wins over Livonia Churchill and Livonia Franklin by scoring two goals and adding two assists.
(Senior) Ethan Stover, from our Varisty Boys’ Cross Country team. Ethan, led Hartland to a win in our Dual meet against Grand Blanc finishing 2nd overall in a time of 17:22. He also finished 4th overall (17:18) in the Linden Invite helping the Eagles to a second place finish.
(Senior) Ian Kenrick, from our Varsity Football team. Ian had two interceptions, one he returned for a touchdown and he also recovered a fumble in an upset win over Salem 21-17.
(Sophomore) Isabella Schmenk, from our Varsity Girls’ Cross Country team. Bella led the Eagles to a win over Grand Blanc in a dual meet finishing 2nd overall in a time of 21:02. She was also the first Hartland finisher and a medalist at the Linden Invite finishing 14th in a time of 21:20.
(Freshman) Marissa Harris, from our Varsity Girls’ Swim team. Marissa achieved a Division 1 state cut in the 100 backstroke this weekend at the Clash of the Underclass-women meet. She also took first in that event with a time of 1:00.57.
(Senior) Brady Walker, from our Varsity Boys’ Soccer team. The Senior Co-captain led Hartland to two KLAA wins over Grand Blanc and Wayne Memorial scoring four goals and adding an assist.
(Senior) Sammi Behen, from our Varsity Girls’ Golf team. On Monday at the Jim Sander Memorial Tournament held at Prestwick Country Club, Sammi shot an 86. At our dual match on Wednesday at Oak Pointe vs. Brighton she carded a 45. Sammi is our senior co-captain.
(Senior) Amanda Maga, from our Varisty Volleyball team. Amanda is a senior libero and defensive specialist. This week against John Glenn Amanda had 13 digs, and 3 aces. She also had 16 digs against Stevenson in addition to 2 aces.
(Junior) Jordan Piatek, from our Varsity Girls Golf team. In our only event this week, Jordan shot a 91 in our KLAA Conference Tournament this week at Salem Hills Golf Course.
(Sophomore) Nick Errer, from our Varsity Boys’ Cross Country team. Nick Tied his personal best while finishing second for Hartland at the Portage Invite in a time of 17:39
(Freshman) Audrey Brown, from our Varsity Girls’ Golf team. At the MHSAA Regionals this week, freshman Audrey Brown shot an 86 at Oak Pointe Golf Course to help us qualify for the State Finals.
(Junior) Seth Buff, from our Varsity Boys’ Soccer team. The Junior center back let the Eagles to shutout victories over #9 Northville and #14 Salem last week. The Eagles have 4 shutouts in their last 5 games.
(Junior) Gabrielle Skinner, from our Varsity Volleyball team. Gabi is a junior middle hitter who had 6 kills, 1 block solo and 4 blocking assists against Plymouth on Tuesday. She also had 17 kills, 3 block solos, 3 blocking assists and 5 aces in the KLAA tournament over the weekend.
(Freshman) Violet Sinishtaj, from our Varsity Girls’ Golf team. Violet shot a 94 and 98 at the state finals to help place our team in the top 10. She has been our number 3 or 4 golfer all season.
Brandon Harrison, from our Varsity Boys’ Basketball team. Brandon played a big role in Hartland's 47-32 victory over Fenton on Wednesday night. He led the Eagles in scoring with 15 points. Brandon also led the team in rebounding, with 7 total rebounds on the night. Brandon also added 2 steals and 1 block in the winning effort.
River Shettler from our Varsity Wrestling team. River had a 3-0 week winning the St. Louis invitational. River topped the number one ranked wrestler in Division 4 and earned Outstanding Wrestler of the entire tournament. Shettler is now 8-0 on the year.
Whitney had a double double Tuesday against state ranked Howell. 11 points and 12 rebounds. It was her third double double of the season. Last night against Livonia Stevenson Whitney had 17 points and 7 rebounds despite playing only two and a half quarters
1/8/2018 Will McCoy let the Eagles in scoring in both games played this week. On Tuesday, Will scored 22 points at Howell in a hard fought loss. On Thursday, Will poured in 20 points at Livonia Stevenson. He also played good defensive games and rebounded the ball well.
(Sophomore) Ashlyn Shudick from our Varsity Girls’ Gymnastics team. Ashlyn played a critical role in helping the Hartland Varsity gymnastics team bring home their first win of the season against Livonia on Tuesday! Of the top four scores that counted for all-around for HHS, Ashlyn had the top team score on Vault, the second highest team score on the uneven bars, and Floor and the fifth highest team score on the balance beam. Ashlyn’s all-around score was the highest of the team, and possibly the evening.
(Junior) Corey Cavanaugh from our Varsity Wrestling team. Junior Captain Corey Cavanaugh had a 6-0 week recording a pin in every match for the Eagles. Cavanaugh won two matches Wednesday and then won the Hartland Tournament Saturday with all his falls coming in the first or second period.
(Senior) Michelle Thompson from our Varsity Girls’ Bowling team. Michelle had 19 strikes in 12 baker game tournament. She also had games of 213 and 182 in a win over Novi.
Maverick a Senior Varsity bowler hit a personal goal this week and obtained his first all tournament team medal on his own. he bowled a 223-233-180 for a 636 and made the top 5 out of 80 bowlers. He was also a team of two that made it to the Quarter Finals top 8 out of 40 teams. He had a great week of many events that helped the team win another Match play and move closer to an undefeated season.
Jessica has a 138 average This week she had 2games of 148 and a 157. She also had 8 strikes in the Tri County Baker tournament
Moriah is in 3 rounds. Added her full twisting layout to round 3. We took 3rd at the KLAA Gold Meet on Wednesday, January 17th and 2nd at the Hudsonville Invite on January 13th.
Jacob helped keep Hartland atop the KLAA division standings with 2 goals against Livonia Churchill last Wednesday to secure a 3-3 tie. Jacob has a team leading 16 goals in the 2017-2018 season and is a "Mr. Hockey" candidate.
In Tuesday's 54 to 45 win over Northville Graysen scored 9 points and dished out 4 assists. In Friday's 41 to 37 win over Howell Graysen scored 20 points and had 7 rebounds.
The Freshmen 103 pounder Keegan Merenuk had a 4-0 week and won the KLAA Championship. Merenuk came from the three seed topping a wrestler he had lost to previously and beating an undefeated wrestler in the finals by technical fall 20-4.
Natalie has a 136 average. This week she had games of 172 in the Flushing Doubles and games of 158 and 181 in the win over Grand Blanc
Renee average is 133. This week she had games of 138 and 168 in our win over Northville
Leo is a freshman on our swim team who went a 1:50.74 in his 200 freestyle and went 5:06.12 in his 500. He also anchored our 200 medley relay which was a couple seconds off a state cut and was third in our 200 free relay which was less than .5 off a state cut.
This week, Emma Verkerke’s (Sophomore) focus and constant dedication to the sport of gymnastics helped the Lady Eagles achieve their highest team score (137.7) to date at their last dual meet of the season against Plymouth HS on Thursday! Emma nailed every one of her routines - scoring an 8.25 on Vault, 8.375 on Floor, and had the highest Uneven Bar score for Hartland with an 8.4, as well as the Balance Beam with an impressive 9.0! Verkerke finished with the 2nd highest all around score for the Eagles with a 34.025. Emma has worked hard to overcome injury and the coaching staff is thrilled to see her great performance and attitude at this important peak of the season as Hartland heads into their Discrict and Regional meets in these upcoming weeks. Way to go, Emma!
Senior Emily Messner had her best week of the season. In a Tuesday win over Livonia Stevenson Emily had the first double double of her career by scoring 16 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. In Thursdays 2 point win over Brighton Emily had 10 points and 7 rebounds
